Originals & Prints
What's handmade, and what's a print? Every original in the natureAWE collection is hand-painted or hand-drawn by me, Silvana Varriale, signed on the artwork itself. Giclée prints are professional reproductions of some of those originals, signed and numbered in the margin. Both come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Can I commission a custom piece? Custom pet portraits only, hand-painted or hand-drawn by me, based on your photos. You can see options and book on the Pet Portrait page. I don't take commissions for other subjects right now.
Do you sell wholesale? Not at the moment.
Prints
What sizes and paper are the prints? Fine art prints come in 9×12 and 11×14 inches, on Hahnemühle William Turner 310gsm, a 100% cotton rag, mould-made paper with a distinct felt structure. Guaranteed non fade for 100 years. Incredibly similar to an original watercolor.
Shipping, Returns & Gifting
How does shipping work? Standard US shipping is free, tracked and insured. Faster delivery is available at your cost at checkout. I ship within the U.S. only. For full details, see my Shipping Policy.
Can I send something as a gift? Yes. At checkout, enter the recipient's address under "Delivery" and your own under "Billing."
Can I return my order? Originals and custom commissions are one-of-a-kind and non-returnable by nature. See my Return & Refund Policy for full details.

About VARsee
Where does the name come from? The first three letters of my surname, plus the phonetic spelling of the first syllable of my first name. "See" also reflects what drives my work: noticing the quiet, small beauty in everyday life.
Where are you based? I live and work in Philadelphia, and all orders ship from there. My work comes from a lifelong fascination with animals and nature. And a childhood dream of shrinking small enough to belong in it.
